Overview / Responsibilities


Wood have an opening for a Package Manager/Project Engineer to support our client based in Switzerland on a long term assignment.   


 


Responsibilities:            


                                                                     


Temporary decommissioning, isolation and recommissioning activities are complex operations involving many stakeholders including technology contractors (isolation tools, tracking), onshore commissioning spread contractor, offshore support contractor (for pig stopper installation, subsea pig launching, pig tracking), gas control, temporary decommissioning isolation and recommissioning specialist engineering (e.g. flow assurance), authorities and environment specialists.


 


The secondee will report to the Client’s Emergency Pipeline Repair System lead engineer. They will coordinate and/or assist Company representative on contracts management, mainly related to temporary decommissioning, isolation and recommissioning. The Secondee will provide support until end of February 2020 with envisaged extension after this initial period, based full time in the client office in Switzerland (to be confirmed) with travel expected to Germany, Norway, Europe and Russia.


 


Activities include but are not limited to following;



  • Prepare dossiers for authorities and management decision

  • Support to procurement in preparation and execution of contractor pre-qualification, scope of work, contract form, call for tender, evaluation and negotiation

  • Contract kick-off meeting organization

  • Day to day management of subcontractor and suppliers

  • Coordination of and attendance to weekly meetings and ad-hoc progress meeting with the suppliers and contractors

  • Review and management of deliverable review across multidiscipline teams (use of Clients Doc Management System)

  • Conduct site meetings, inspections, audits, vessel inspection, witnessing

  • Provide technical expertise and input in coordination with Client’s and engineering support personnel

  • Ensure compliance if his / her activities with Client’s HSE requirements

  • Ensure compliance with Client’s QAQC requirements

  • Ensure achievement of Client’s compliance requirements


  


Mission:                                                                                 


 


The Secondee will implement the following activities based on a mutually agreed yearly work plan, covering project engineering / package engineering:


 



  • Package management of landfall venting facility upgrades

  • Package management of gas control procedures, including overall facility HAZOP

  • Package management of onshore commissioning spread frame agreement and initial purchase order (for emergency pipeline repair system, including preparedness for an emergency services and equipment sourcing)

  • Assistance to package management of inline inspection campaign

  • Management of ancillary small service contracts for offshore maintenance or emergency pipeline repair system


Qualifications



  • Degree in Engineering (min BSc level) in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Chemical.

  • Extensive experience in process, piping and pigging engineering & manufacturing, onshore facility, offshore pipeline commissioning/decommissioning and operation, and of 5 years in project engineering / package management in similar role and on site.

  • Familiar with HSE industry standard practices including permit to work, site safety, risk assessment, HAZID/HAZOP.

  • Ability to independently lead and coordinate a technical work scope involving multiple interfaces with Third Parties simultaneously.

  • Strong communication and interface capabilities. Ability to deal with different cultures and authorities.

  • Fluent English. German and Russian an advantage.

  • Ability to work in team and under pressure; flexibility.

  • Ability to work independently

  • Availability to travel (Russia, Germany, Norway).
