Do you have an eye on detail and a deep practical technical understanding? Do you like to act as “Sherlock Holmes” to investigate the root cause for technical issues and to find innovative solutions for your findings?

 

If you answered the questions above with “yes”, then our open position as Electronical Test Engineer (f/m/d) is the one you should apply for! You play a central role in identifying field issues in our customers´ Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. Your workplace is in the test bay area of our UPS production plant in Wettingen, Switzerland.

Your responsibilities



  • You perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and electrotechnical tests on returned UPS components like printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and complete electronic. 

  • You support the R&D team with coordination tasks and you continuously improve our test facilities and area.

  • You create technical documents of your investigations and findings to ensure lessons learned will be implemented in new products.

  • Your ability to understand software codes enables you to run small firmware configurations by your own.

  • Ideally, we would like to involve you in routine tests of complete UPS systems and in factory acceptance tests (FATs) as well – depending on your level of expertise.

About you



  • You hold a Technical Engineering Degree (e.g. Electrical or Power Engineering).

  • You have 3 years´ experience with PCBAs and electronic circuits and a strong background on electronics and power electronics.

  • You can understand schematic diagrams and have a sound know how on electrical measurement techniques and equipment.

  • Your fluent English enables you to write technical documentation for internal usage; German or additional languages are a plus.

  • You are passionate about identifying and solving complex technical challenges and have an attention to detail, you love practical work (not only theoretical) and to find new solutions for issues no one has detected ever before.
