As Scrum Master in the IT department “Distribution & Payment Solutions” you will support a scrum team of Lufthansa Group project managers and business analyst. You will coach our team on how to follow agile practices and Scrum, foster motivation, personal responsibility, ownership and self-organization of the team. You will be responsible for removing the impediments and protecting the team from unauthorized interventions during the Sprint. Last but not least, you will advise the product owner on the preparation and prioritization of the backlog and maintain communication channels.

This position provides a great opportunity for someone who currently works as an independent Scrum Master to gain insight into the airline industry and a Scrum Team with a global footprint.

Your challenges

• Fostering the teams’s self-organization collaboration and knowledge sharing


• Helping the team to continuously improve their processes and productivity


• Managing the scrum process


• Coaching the team based in different locations


• Providing a rich set of facilitation, training and coaching tools


• Guiding the team in establishing normalized estimates

Your profile

• Know-how in Agile practices (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and Agile mindset as well as related certification


• Experience in JIRA and Confluence


• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency


• Good at communicating and coordinating with people at all levels in the organization


• Experience working across different teams and remote locations


• Optimism, sense of humor, empathy and persistence


• Very good English, German and other languages as a plus
