MOTION PLANNING SOFTWARE ENGINEER

As a motion planning software engineer you will join a small team of top technical talent to develop safe,
efficient and reliable trajectory generation algorithms for various motion planning scenarios. You will be
responsible for developing novel algorithmic solutions and software that meet ambitious specifications in
terms of control performance, computational performance, and reliability. Your creations will be tested on
real demonstration vehicles. Your team will work closely with the product development team to deliver
several iterations of product prototypes for a new motion planning offering in record time. Excitement is
guaranteed in this position and the opportunities to shape the final product will be plentiful.
Responsibilities Requirements



  • Develop algorithmic solutions to unsolved • Master’s degree in computer science, applied
    problems mathematics, or electrical engineering

  • Write latency-optimized safety-critical • Understanding of control theory and dynamical
    embedded C code adhering to best practices systems

  • Write automated testing tools to improve the • Excellent communication skills in English
    behaviour of your algorithms and software • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing tasks and

  • Interface to driving simulators requirements

  • Setup hardware-in-the-loop testing • Proficiency in C/C++, Python and
    environments to validate performance against Matlab/Simulink
    requirements • Familiarity with Linux and the GNU toolchain

  • Document your code and designs • Experience in writing robust production code

  • Analyse and present the status of software • Familiarity with automotive coding standards
    development activities to the CTO on a weekly (MISRA-C) and interfaces (CAN, V2X, etc.) is a
    basis plus

  • Coordinate development efforts with other • Familiarity with simulation environments for
    members of the software team automated driving (Prescan, Scaner, etc.) is a
    plus

  • Experience with mathematical optimization
    applications is a plus


You will be directly reporting to the CTO.
Earliest start: Spring 2020.
