Our Ophthalmology Franchise is reimagining what’s possible by bringing life-altering treatments to patients with visual impairments and blindness. Access Director role based in Novartis’ Headquarter, will have the mission of ensuring those patients can access treatment across the Globe.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Drive Market Access strategy development & execution for Dry Eye portfolio
• Ensure that at launch, Novartis brands are supported by a robust payer value proposition including 3 core elements - ‘Value for money’ story, strong evidence package and a pricing strategy maximizing the life-time value of the brand (including existing and future evidence to justify and maintain price)
• Develop a cross-functionally and global integrated Market Access and Pricing strategy aimed at delivering the product differentiation most relevant in markets
• Implementation of innovative solutions to drive patient access (e.g. insurance schemes, patient access programs) as well as exploring replication potential
• Lead Value & Access Teams (V&AT) and ensure close alignment between insights into payer and provider evidence needs, plans to generate evidence for patient value proposition and pricing strategy.
• Interact with payers - build global-level relationships and help shape their policies towards the targeted therapeutic areas
• Gather Region/Country Pharma Organization input and/or feedback and integrate into the Market Access strategy ; accountable for reflecting payer perspective in overarching product strategy
Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
• Postgraduate degree in medicine, sciences, business administration health policy, health economic or other relevant qualification
• Deep understanding of payer/HTA environment and evolution across countries/regions
• Ability to work and lead (a cross-functional team) in a matrix environment and build strong relationships in virtual environment
• Ability to communicate effectively and motivate team alongside having a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of organization
• Previous cross-functional experience in Marketing or other function is advantage
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to draw insights/derive viable strategic options for payers that offer opportunities to align cross-functionally to deliver superior value from the analytical research
