Platform Manager / Software Architect (m/w)

The Kistler software- and electronics platform serves the needs of many of our domain applications and solutions. It provides embedded Linux platforms based on ARM and x86 architectures, extending them with functionalities typical for dynamic measurement applications such as data streaming and highly accurate time synchronization. For IIoT and cloud applications, the platform provides enhanced communication mechanisms based on CoAP, Apache Kafka and further industry standards. For the efficient development of Web-UIs, it includes a UI library based on ReactJS. We use established Open Source software and also contribute to well-known OSS projects like OCF’s CoAP Native Cloud or the U-Boot bootloader.

Platform Manager / Software Architect (m/w)

Main Tasks

• You lead the international project team located in Winterthur, Buffalo NY and Bratislava


• You plan and manage the implementation work using scrum methods


• You provide proposals for future focus topics and define the roadmap of the platform in line with the company strategy


• You represent the platform to its stakeholders, especially to the internal customers which are the product development teams relying on it


• You are involved in technology evaluations and drive forward new ideas

Requirements Profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or Information Technology (ETH, Uni)


• Experience in project management for development projects with a high degree of novelty and innovation


• Experience in SW architecture, SW engineering and their processes


• Hands-on experience with some of the following technologies: Embedded Linux, C++, OO-design in C#, Web and Cloud technologies


• Basic experience with electronics design


• Analytical thinking, creative and proactive personality


• Team-oriented, integrating behavior, keen to network engineers across locations and specializations


• Good communicator in German and English
