We Offer

 

  • A dynamic position as Relationship Manager within our Ship Finance team where you contribute in an international working environment with experienced and highly motivated specialists.

  • The main focus of this role is to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of clients and transactions consolidating the results in comprehensive credit memos and to run the loan process from Indicative Termsheet to credit approval ensuring adherence to internal governance rules.

  • Together with the Key Account Managers, you assist in the development and enhancement of client relationships including participation in client meetings, building confidence and trust as one of the main points of contact.

  • You actively monitor the portfolio presenting any identifying risks, assessing mitigating factors and ensuring transactions and client relationships are conducted in a fully compliant manner.

  • You collaborate closely with Client Advisors in Due Diligence in respect of credit, KYC, AML and reputational aspects as part of the onboarding process of new clients and periodic reviews of the existing ones.

  • You actively participate together with Client Advisors in loan documentation review and negotiation but also loan closings and ensure a compliant process of all relevant conditions and best in class client service.

  • You ensure at all times that all related data are updated and correct in the respective internal database systems.

  • University degree in Banking & Finance, banking apprenticeship with further education such as FH or equivalent education; profound credit experience ; a CFA would be beneficial.

  • Prior experience in the international (asset) finance segment is an advantage primarily in the shipping sector.  

  • As an astute problem solver, you possess strong analytical skills and are passionate about working with numbers enabling you to work multi-functionally in order to arrive at the best way forward for our team

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications, proficiency in Excel

  • You demonstrate high sense of responsibility, pro-activity and ownership

  • You show high perception and interpersonal skills as well as discretion and affinity to client contact

  • You are able to build trust and positive relationships with a wide range of colleagues and to create a network with senior business partners

  • Fluency in English, with good German skills being an advantage
