On behalf of our client, an international pharmaceutical company, we are recruiting an experienced:
Your Responsibilities
Manage Research, non-GLP and GLP lab activities as a pathologist and head of Pathobiology technicians team in close collaboration with various colleagues from the R&D entities with the highest ethical standard;
Manage the execution of protocols and technical duties like preparation of histological slides and IHC experiments, as needed.
Assess pharmaco-toxicological effects of small molecules and biologics in preclinical (from research to GLP regulatory) studies, with a focus on soluble biomarkers.
Provide reports that accurately reflect data derived from standard clinical pathology endpoints as well as investigative biomarkers.
Collaborate with other scientists in the design of preclinical safety studies and interpretation and communication of study findings, including the impact of the data on the safety profile and clinical development.
Internal expert on cell culture activities, antibody validation, development of in vitro efficacy and toxicology tests analysis, tumor tissues and its application to drug development
Provide oversight of review of protocols, data, and reports generated at contract laboratories (CROs) to ensure high quality, on-time reporting. Conduct peer-reviews of histological slides when needed.
Drive scientific and technical support for tissue biomarker identification development, qualification, and validation of translational biomarkers (IHC) and immunological-based endpoints through collaboration with internal and external expert working groups.
As a laboratory manager, be a force for bringing forward proposals and support continuous development of laboratory analytical capabilities and career development of the technical team.
Your Profile
DVM, PhD (in physiology or Animal Biology), you have at least 2 - Expertise in histopathology principles, techniques and beyond. (molecular biology is a plus)
Good knowledge of GLP rules applied to histopathology (Knowledge of clinical pathology is a plus)
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to manage a lab with a team of technicians
Knowledge of pathology software (e.g. Provantis®, Ascentos®), statistics, image analysis tools (e.g. HALO®) is an asset, and basic knowledge of other Windows Office suite tools (e.g. Excel®...)
Good written and spoken command of French and English.
