Your challenges

As active member of the growing Downstream Technology group, you will be responsible for the evaluation and implementation of novel equipment, innovative processes, and the implementation of continuous processing technologies.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with colleagues across the network in shaping and implementing continuous processing technologies including facility fit and tech transfer.

  • Evaluate innovative equipment for optimizing manufacturing processes, preparing user requirements and capital funding requests.

  • Develop and implement Lean Six Sigma techniques in the manufacturing floor to drive processing efficiencies.

  • Design, Qualification, Maintenance and operation of new equipment that supports 'Facility of the Future' technologies such as Automated Viral inactivation, Multi-Column

Chromatography, Single Pass UF

  • Authoring of Standard Operating Procedures, Batch Documents or other Technical Documentation to support Continuous Processing.

  • Collaborate with Automation colleagues in linking various unit operations together into a continuous process with our Delta V automation platform.

  • Participate in GMP Batch production for Drug Substance or Drug Product


Your skills



  • University degree (MSc/BSc) in Biology, Pharmacy, Process engineering, or another relevant discipline

  • 1+ years of work experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry

  • Familiarity with Downstream Unit Operations for mAb manufacturing

  • Effective verbal or spoken communication skills in English.

  • Being able to understand written German is minimally needed.
