Job Description


JOB PURPOSE:
The Solothurn Finance Manger will report to the Director of Finance of International Manufacturing and will be responsible for all Financial Analysis & Planning activities of the site including but not limited to the LRP, periodic Financial forecasts, scenario analysis and special projects.
He/she will be the main Finance Business partner to the site for providing analysis and strategic support to ensure appropriate business decisions are made.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Responsible for financial long range planning, periodic forecasts and scenario planning
• Own the LRP and financial forecast process
• Provide decision support and scenario analysis for the site
• Drive change in the business by assessing opportunities and proposing path forward
• Build and maintain complex financial models that inform the business allow long term decision making.

2. Responsible for reporting on financial performance, BIOS KPIs and management reporting
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support for Financial Metrics (CAPEX and OPEX)
• Evaluation of financial performance (actual vs plan/forecast)
• Identify drivers of variances and risk factors to meeting goals and objectives
• Operational metrics tracking and KPIs

3. Analysis on business performance
• Analyze results, trends and make recommendations for improvements
• Ensure cost analysis process by enforcing policies and procedures
• Identify and drive cost improvement initiatives- support by detailed and standard/adhoc reporting for management
• Support increasing productivity through accurate data and reporting
• Responsible for all ad hoc analysis

4. Finance Business partner to all the departments at Solothurn
• Lead all ad hoc Finance projects on site, and provide financial strategic support to ensure appropriate business decisions are made

5. Capital performance reporting and monthly capital accrual
• Responsible for monthly Capital accruals calculation
• Support Capital project by working with Capital team to understand project timelines and financial forecast
• Report on financial project and variances

Qualifications


- At least 6-8 years of prior experience working in a complex manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment. - Construction Finance experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- High level of competency in ERP Financial systems, MS Excel, Business Objects and Hyperion.


Education


Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or equivalent) required
CPA/Equivalent or MBA preferred
