We are seeking an experienced Big Data Development Team Lead to join a growing, high-visibility team that is responsible for developing and deploying a new initiative for a centralized Financial Data Store for Credit Suisse.

As a member of this team, you will solve emerging challenges via the utilization of new technologies.

 We Offer:

• Distributed file systems and storage technologies (HDFS, HBase, Hive, Kudu)


• Large-scale distributed data analytic platforms and compute environments (Spark, Map/Reduce)


• Streaming technologies such as Kafka, Flume

You Offer

 


You Offer:

• 10+ years’ experience in Enterprise IT at a Global organization with recent 3+ years in Big Data Projects preferably in a Financial firm


• Experienced level knowledge of Cloudera Hadoop components such as HDFS, Sentry, HBase, Impala, Hue, Spark, Hive, Kafka, YARN, ZooKeeper and Postgres


• Experience in deployment of complex systems including security, high-availability and maintainability topics


• Maintenance, operations and support of the platform across multiple tenants. Integrating with existing Strategic Big Data Platform components (Cloudera HDFS with Spark, Python, Hive, Impala, Kudu, Kafka). Dev, UAT and Production support experience


• Service Management i.e. Release management, Change Management, Incident management


• Experience of working and applying Agile methodology on large projects


• Experience on DevOps and with deployment toolsets like Odyssey, SVN, Git, Nolio


• Responsible and collaborative Teammate with experience of building and leading teams


• Excellent analytical skills and attitude to translate Requirements into technical solutions


• Good communication skills and the ability to communicate technology to a business audience


• Fluent in written and spoken English


• Dedicated individual with a solution driven attitude


• Knowledge in Financial Accounting and Reporting is a significant asset


• Datawarehousing experience would be considered a plus
