  Job position: Associate 1/2 (4y M&A experience required) in the European Strategic Client Partner Office of Credit Suisse Zürich Credit Suisse holds a leading position as private investment banker with a one stop shop model offering out of one hand: the full spectrum of investment banking, corporate and strategic advisory, asset and wealth management dedicated to large families and entrepreneurs as well as Family Equity investors. 
DEPARTMENTAL OVERVIEW Credit Suisse’s European Strategic Client Partner Office is building a unique platform for Families and Entrepreneurs all over Northern Europe in close collaboration with the best of breed of the entire global banking capabilities: the Investment Banking and Capital Markets Departments, Asset Management, Wealth Management, Strategic Owner Advisory. 
WE OFFER:

  • Reporting to and working directly with the Executive Chairman of Corporate Advisory Northern Europe in close collaboration with the corporate finance team in Switzerland and the other European and US offices

  • Direct exposure to and active engagement with large European Families and entrepreneurs in Germany, Austria, France, Benelux and the United Kingdom

  • Monitoring of client presentations and pitches, delivery of strategic dialogue, tailor-made advice and sector input on family owned companies and Family Equity investors

  • Contribution to the origination and execution of corporate finance, M&A and lending transactions

  • Participation in the company and industry analysis, valuation and financial
    modelling

  • Participation in advisory activities and M&A deal execution (drafting of marketing and transaction materials, due diligence, data room processing)

  • Coordination of transaction processes with clients, management, investors and other advisors

 
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

  • Production of pitches: well-argued research, presentations and thorough analysis

  • Liaising with sector specialists of Investment Banking Credit Suisse and other counter-parties to produce documentation

  • Monitoring of internal team staffing and team meetings

  • Production of documents for internal approval processes (writing reports)

  • Involvement in dealing with prospects and clients on day-to-day aspects of a strategic pitch, corporate finance transaction and relationship management

  • Travelling with the European Strategic Client Partner to visit prospects and
    clients European wide

  • Completed studies of a top University degree (Bachelor or Master) in finance, economics or accounting

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in an M&A team of a
    renowned international bank or industry

  • Fluent German and English skills, French would be a plus
