Lead legal support for the global Technical Operations department by identifying and addressing legal risks and providing legal leadership in a collaborative, success-oriented approach; this includes support for: (i) manufacturing sites and TechOps projects globally; (ii) arrangements with licensing partners (e.g. in Japan); (iii) Global Quality Assurance on TechOps-related matters; and (iv) Global Business Development and regional BD related to TechOps matters (e.g. DD); as well as chairing the Business Flow Committee.
· Lead and guide TechOps management on all legal issues affecting the global team and ensure that TechOps decisions incorporate and address legal risks and opportunities.
· Negotiate and draft complex agreements, including manufacturing, supply, and other agreements, and lead negotiations to a successful conclusion.
· Support and advise on the execution of special projects in TechOps, such as the construction and expansion of manufacturing sites, or the revision of Ferring’s tendering processes.
· Provide back-up legal support for geographic regions for commercial
agreements, legal issues, lawsuit management, legal entity issues, etc.
· Advise and support GQA ad-hoc on quality matters affecting TechOps,
incl. through training and support with necessary templates and communications
on quality matters.
Required Education/Qualifications/Skills:
· Qualified lawyer with over 7 years post qualification experience in either multinational company or reputable law firm;
· Experience in pharma or medical device industry is preferred;
· Strong communication and analytical skills;
· Fluent in written and spoken English.
