Controller


Your tasks




The Controller guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing Belimed policies and procedures. This role protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls. This position monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits, as well as by providing information to external auditors.





How you will impact Belimed and our clients

  • Oversees disbursement to ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance

  • Oversees accounts receivables to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components

  • Oversees the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports

  • Support the CFO in budgeting and analysis of business operations

  • Implements and administers established accounting policies, procedures, and practices

  • Ensures accurate and timely recording and reporting of operating results

  • Provides financial analysis, interpretation of variances from budgets and standards and advice to management

  • Oversees the preparation of budgets and forecasts

  • Identify and implement process improvement activities

  • Contributes to policy development in the area of financial controlling

  • Conducts analyses and provides recommendations for improvement in both the efficiency and efficacy of corporate operations

  • Maintains balances at local banks

  • Manages and motivates staff; reviews and assesses performance, builds employee capacity, supports their professional development and enables employees to optimize their contribution to the team

  • Initiates, coordinates and tracks financial process improvements and ensures the respect for financial standards and best practices

  • All other duties as assigned


What you need to succeed







Skills/Competencies



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong process improvement orientation

  • Solid Microsoft Excel skills











Experience



  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience

  • 3 years of experience successfully supervising and developing direct report

  • Solid SAP (FI-CO) experience

  • Reporting Systems (COGNOS, Hyperion or similar)











Education



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
