Senior Manager Supply Chain and Logistics


Your tasks




The Sr. Manager Supply Chain and Logistics will manage demand planning, purchasing and logistics – in close collaboration with the respective global functions - of all parts needed for the US market. This includes managing of internal and external warehouses, organize transportation and optimize inventory management. Reporting to the President, this person will directly and indirectly oversee the logistics of all equipment deliveries for medical division, including sterile workflow products. The Head of Logistics & Supply Chain will lead a team of demand planner/purchaser, the department head of Warehouse/Logistics and the department head of Sales Administration. This role also involves close collaboration and liaison with Belimed European manufacturing and sourcing colleagues.





How you will impact Belimed and our clientsDemand Planning



  • Provides direction for Project Fulfillment process including procurement decisions, delivery standards, freight considerations, and networking capital allocation

  • Manages ongoing relationships with European and US suppliers, ensuring quality levels and on-time delivery are meeting the supply chain requirements

  • Develops reports, data management processes, and tools to support Material Requirement Planning (MRP)

  • Directs and oversees organization's purchasing function in accordance with Global Sourcing. Make sure that global policies and procedures related to the procurement of goods and services for capital sales, consumables and spare parts are followed.

Inventory Management



  • Works closely with sales and service managers to ensure the appropriate levels of inventory are keep on hand to meet customer demand

  • Develops, implements, and maintains inventory KPI’s that supports supply chain and inventory control requirements

  • Ensures adequate inventory of materials in accordance with inventory cycles

  • Conducts weekly inventory analysis to solve inventory problems

Sales Administration



  • Lead Sales Administration & Operations department resp. give clear administrative guidance

Warehouse Management



  • Lead Warehouse/logistics department resp. give logistics employee clear guidance

  • Accountable for all warehouse and logistics processes from good entrance, storage location to dispatch area, which are in the responsibility of the Logistics department

Logistics/Transportation



  • Initiate projects to constantly optimize the shipments of equipment, spare parts and consumables to customers

  • Manages ongoing relationship with freight forwarding company to ensure cost competitive timely customer deliveries, including direct drop-shipments from factory 


What you need to succeedSkills/Competencies

Required:



  • Demonstrate know-how in using SAP modules MM/SD

  • Ability to manage demand planning to reach highest performance

  • Ability to analyze and organize Logistics processes

  • Ability to analyze inventory situation and improve Inventory management

  • Excellent verbal and written skills in the English language

Preferred:



  • Leadership skill, he/she is a role model in leading and motivating people 

Experience

Required:



  • Minimum five years of experience in Demand Planning and Inventory Management or a combination of the two in SAP

  • Experience managing materials and disposition processes through SAP-MRP platform

  • Demonstrated knowledge of business processes like project management or sales order flow

  • Experience working with international customers and/or suppliers

Preferred:



  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading a team

  • Experience in implementing KAIZEN methods in Warehouse and Logistics

  • Experience working in ISO Certified or Medical Device industry

  • SalesForce experience

  • Medical Device industry experience

  • Evidence of building and maintaining excellent customer relationships

Education

Required:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field

Preferred:



  • APICS certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)

  • Membership in an industry-related organization
