| In today’s world, the petfood and aquafeed industry is more and more demanding to higher grinding capacities at a low particle size distribution. Because of the higher fat content of some raw materials used in the recipes, the above trend leads to some technological issues with common grinding processes. To overcome these limitations, a new and innovative fine grinding solution has to be developed and evaluated. The following working packages structure this work: 1) Literature research on grinding solutions, trends, and recipes in Pet food and Aqua feed industry 2) Prepare a suitable trial matrix, organize and carry out different trial series in the lab 3) Evaluate trial results, conclude in a scientific-sound matter, and develop a general understanding of fine grinding solutions 4) Define and set up a design base for fine grinding solutions |
