To support our HR & Services IT Sub-Division, FIFA is looking to recruit a flexible and motivated person with the ability to work in a cross-divisional team as a:
Infrastructure Engineer
Your duties


  • Managing FIFA’s core IT infrastructure services on premises and in the cloud.

  • Creating and managing changes to the infrastructure under responsibility and planning for growth.

  • Installing, configuring, maintaining, monitoring and continuously optimizing IT solutions in the area of computing platforms, virtualization, storage, backup/archiving, infrastructure applications

  • Ensuring the appropriate operation and maintenance of FIFA’s data centres, platforms and technologies

  • Working closely with the security team to apply security standards to managed platforms

  • Integration solutions with other applications and platforms

  • Developing new alerts and monitoring techniques

  • Providing 2nd level support for areas under responsibility

  • Coordinating incidents, service requests and problems resolution among a variety of functional areas

  • Providing subject matter expertise support for assessing and resolving incidents and problems

  • Managing large-size and complex projects and initiatives within the area of responsibility

  • Providing technical guidance, coaching/mentoring to team members

Our requirements


  • Technology certifications such as Microsoft, VMWare etc held and current

  • Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance of Servers, Server Operating Systems (Windows), Exchange, Active-Directory and VMWare

  • At least two years of experience in managing and operating laaS/PaaS/SaaS environments, based on Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services

  • Hands on experience in managing the following technologies: (All server-side Microsoft technologies, both on-premises and in the cloud, Exchange/O365, Identity management suites, ADFS4.0 and Azure Active Directory, Hyper-converged infrastructure (Cisco UCS), VMware vSphere, Pure Storage, PowerShell scripting, GPOs, VEEAM Backup, Netbackup, Citrix XenApp farm, Monitoring tools (CheckMK, Splunk)

  • University degree, or similar higher education, in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field

  • Project management certifications eg PMP, Prince2

  • Service management certifications eg ITL Foundation

  • Excellent knowledge of English and business fluency in at least a second language (French, Spanish or German, the latter being an advantage)

  • Willing to provide on-call support on a rotation basis

  • Willingness to travel globally (up to 10%)
