For our growing coating activities in 2074 Marin in Switzerland we are looking for an


 


Experienced Coating Process Engineer


 


You will be an active and initiative part of a small motivated team developing innovative vacuum based coating processes for new products and applications.


Description du poste



  • Technology scouting and early identification of the latest trends in R&D of coating technologies.

  • Definition, evaluation and implementation of new technologies and processes beneficial for The Swatch Group.

  • Independently define and manage R&D projects internally as well as with external partners to achieve fixed objectives.

  • Conceive robust vacuum based coating processes.

  • Realization and characterization of the coated parts.

  • Documentation of developed solutions.

  • Give expertise for equipment, processes and characterization to sister companies.


Profil



  • Academic education in physics, physical chemistry or material science or equivalent.

  • 3 years of experience in coating technology in industry or equivalent.


Compétences requises



  • Profound understanding of plasma physics and vacuum based coating technologies.

  • Expertise in material science and surface chemistry and physics.

  • Hands-on experience with vacuum systems, PVD, PECVD, wet and dry etching.

  • Hands-on experience with material and process characterization techniques.

  • Habitude of taking initiative and of working independently.

  • Analytical thinking and capacity of oral and written synthesis.

  • Strong motivation to take an active part in a multidisciplinary and international team for continuous improvement and innovation.


Langues



  • The candidate should be, or willing to become fluent in oral French (which is the main social language at work).

  • Good oral and written English is a must for our scientific and engineering environment, as well as participation in international workshops, trainings and collaborations.

  • German is an asset to take full advantage of our unique position in the center of Europe and at the language border between German and French science communities.
