More than 1'200 associates at Oncology Medical Affairs are working tirelessly to bring the next paradigm shift in cancer treatment with our presence in four oncology treatment platforms.
The Global Associate Director of Medical Excellence is accountable for leading the development, maintenance and monitoring of a distinct category of Medical function specific curriculums, learning solutions and trainings based on function defined capabilities and support the implementation and adaptation by Regions and countries.This role can be done from any Novartis office location.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Lead the development, maintenance, and successful delivery of Medical function specific curriculums (onboarding, performing, advancing), learning catalogue and solutions, trainings and events calendar by working in collaboration with Regions, countries, vendors, subject matter experts (SMEs), and vendors as needed.
• Serve associates and managers across Global, Regions and countries in implementing and adapting any learning or training offering.
• Coordinate learning assignments in the learning management system as agreed with SMEs, leaders, managers, training partners, procedure owners and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of training needs assessment surveys, questionnaires, situation analysis interviews.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on the learner experience (untilization, knowledge transfer and application) to identify areas for improvement, gaps, needs for updates and plan for future demands.
• From an enterprise perspective, leverage relevant medical excellence programs to optimize overall organizational investment and best practices.
• Partner with Oncology Global Medical Affairs (GMA) Compliance to respond to training-related audit observations and implement corrective and preventive action plans as needed.
• Manage technical aspects of learning solutions including usage and support for virtual learning methods or WBT-technology.
Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
• MSc or other advanced health science or medical degree preferred.
• ≥ 3 years experience in Medical Affairs in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency with Medical Affairs capability, training and learning curriculum development is preferred.
• Open to flexible working hours to serve regions/ countries.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support medical excellence initiatives in the regions/countries.
• Demonstrated leadership working with a cross-functional team with excellent collaboration and a high level of self-awareness.
• Superb prioritization, planning and organization skills and ability to juggle competing needs and work under pressure.
• Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to facilitate, influence and motivate across functions in a global matrix.
• Considerable organizational acumen and ability to engage and interact with various levels of the organization.
• Fluent English (oral and written); additional languages are desirable and an asset.
