The positionWould you like to use and extend your knowledge in the field of banking software? As a technical business analyst, you will actively support our Clients and software developers in defining and shaping innovative solutions and services.
The Corporate Actions Squad is responsible for an industrialized value chain in all areas of Corporate Actions. This includes mandatory events such as dividends, interest, assignments, expirations, capital calls, security exchange, split or merger and voluntary events such as dividend choice, share purchase plan, general assembly, capital increase, tender or purchase offers, hedge fund or other structured products. Furthermore, the team is responsible for client standing instructions and client notifications or advices with respect to corporate actions.
We are looking to hire a technical business analyst to support out development team in Zurich, where you will work together with several business analysts, software engineers and architects in daily operations and projects. You will be mainly responsible for the reference customization of our products, including data migration, demo data set up and project support.
Our job opportunity allows for a unique combination to hone your development skills, but also acquire banking know how on a top level and become an expert of our core banking software and the corresponding business processes with focus on corporate actions
Development takes place in our integrated development environment - a customized Eclipse platform, which is tightly integrated with a build automation and delivery system, allowing a standardized and automated process to be followed.
Your responsibilities
Analyse Client requirements in collaboration with Business Analysts, Software Partners and Clients
Preparation of solution concepts, effort estimations and design notes in tight collaboration with the business analysts and software architects
Extension and maintenance of Avaloq’s standard product configuration (Avaloq Banking Reference)
Improve and optimize existing functionalities
Analyse and resolve incidents and bugs
Work in an Agile environment, helping us to improve our processes
Protect your functionality from regression by implementing suitable automated test cases
Education
Bachelor and/or Masters degree in computer science, business informatics or equivalent
Professional requirements & skills
Solid background in software engineering
Competent in one or more high-level programming languages such as PL/SQL
Solid understanding of relational databases (including SQL)
Quality-conscious attitude, self-motivated and goal-oriented
Open-minded and a good team player
A high Client orientation
Profound understanding of object-oriented software design
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Eager to learn and take on new challenges
Interested in the banking business
Very good communication in German and English (spoken and written)
