The positionThe Settlement and Reconciliation team is responsible for an industrialized value chain in the areas Ex- & Global Custody, Settlement and Reconciliation. Furthermore, the team is responsible for the Back-Office Portal, a tool allowing efficient task dispatching and order monitoring in the bank’s back office.
As product owner of the Settlement and Reconciliation team, you will be part of a dynamic team of software developers, software architects and business analysts located in Zurich and Manila. You and your team have the full responsibility over the team’s products. You have end to end responsibility starting from creating the product vision and roadmap to ensure continuous market success, discussing and challenging the requirements with stakeholders (internal and external), managing and grooming the product backlog, ensuring the product is built according to specification, managing the product lifecycle, to finally presenting the product to the stakeholders and the community.
Your responsibilities
Ownership over all products built by the development team
Create the product vision and roadmap
Groom and prioritize the product backlog
Analyze and challenge functional requirements
Write user stories and specifications for new features
Collaborate with team, product management, customers, users and other stakeholders
Ensure quality of the product (test cases, testing)
Manage product documentation
Prepare the product launch, prepare and present in sales cases and customer events
Manage projects: achieve defined objectives of the projects, develop and monitor project budget, lead small to medium sized project teams, track progress.
Education
University or college degree in computer science/engineering, Business, Economics or equivalent professional education
Proficiency in German and English required, other languages are a plus
Professional Requirements
Excellent banking knowledge in the areas of settlement and reconciliation
Ability to articulate complex technical issues to business users
An admirable oral and presentation skills to communicate effectively with small and large groups across all levels of staff and management
Project planning and management skills, including exposure to making operational decisions, monitoring progress, taking corrective action, and reporting results
Excellent stakeholder and expectation management skills
Technical and project management expertise to identify issues, risks, or gaps in a timely manner
Knowledge of agile software development processes
Fluent in written and spoken English and German
