The positionThe CTO division is responsible for developing Avaloq’s banking platform and standards. Our biggest development shop is Digital Personas, which is responsible for developing software products targeting Wealth Managers, Financial Intermediaries (e.g. independent/external asset managers) as well as bank customers.

For this position, we are looking for a highly motivated product owner for Financial Intermediaries/EAM solutions, preferably with product- and project management experience as well as financial industry and technology know-how.

In your role as Software Product Owner FIM/EAM, you will take over the product ownership for Avaloq’s offerings for financial intermediaries and external asset manager. You will drive the software development with end-to-end responsibility, support sales cases and client demos and you are responsible for the ongoing improvement of the product line and ensure the products commercial viability. This job includes the creation and maintenance of the product vision and roadmap to ensure continuous market success. In this role, you will discuss and challenge requirements with internal and external stakeholders, ensure that the product is built according to specifications and market needs as well as present your product to all relevant stakeholders within the Avaloq community. In this role, you will work closely with product developers, IT architects as well as our national and international sales teams.

Your responsibilities

  • Ownership over of a software product for financial intermediaries (e.g. independent/external asset managers)

  • Create the product vision and challenge it in close collaboration with the central product management teams

  • Establish and maintain the product roadmap with involvement of customers, users and other stakeholders 

  • Project management (e.g. budgeting, controlling, reviews) for the development and enhancement of the software product

  • Support pre-sales and sales activities as well as customer projects

  • Prepare and develop propelling present sales cases and enhance our commercial offering, present to prospects and represent your product and Avaloq at customer events

  • Liaise with Scrum teams, UX/UI teams, and other product owners and product managers
     

Education

  • Master’s in business and economics, banking, business information technology or equivalent education

Professional Requirements

  • Experienced software product owner/product manager or business analyst with software product responsibility

  • Excellent knowledge of the financial industry, ideally in area of independent/external asset management

  • Good understanding of marketing, pricing and sales activities

  • Successful track record as project manager, management of stakeholders

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and German, French is a plus

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
    Strong analytical and conceptual skills
