Business Partner Controller for R&D Area

The positionAs Business Partner Controller for the Research and Development Area you are a member of the Group Business Controlling Team. In your role as an experienced professional you are responsible for the profit and milestone-oriented controlling of the Software Development Initiatives. In this context your analysis of financial performance and insights in projects are essential for the success of strategic product development initiatives. Your Business Partners such as Heads Divisions, Business Case Owners and Project Managers relay on the fact based financial reports with gap analysis and action plans to achieve the high reaching goals. Your talent in monitoring, steering and communicating the project performances is your best skill to support Avaloq’s success story. In your role you work in close co-operation within the Group Controlling and Finance department.

Your responsibilities

• Monitoring, analysing and reporting of monthly performance of R&D projects, strategic initiatives and R&D divisions 


• Leading of periodically project forecasting, coordinating gap analysis and gap-closing process
  


• Organise and host performance measuring meetings such as project performance and business case reviews
  


• Coordinate target setting and budgeting at different hierarchy levels of divisions
  


• Review and approval of commercial contracts related to area of responsibility
  


• Prepare and implement the material for monthly book closing (accruals, completion degree of projects)
  


• Your reporting line is to the Head Business Controlling

Education

• Controlling background (i.e. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Economy, Expert in Accounting and Controlling, MAS Controlling)

Professional Requirements & Skills

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, i.e. controlling, preferably within the financial industry or IT industry  English fluent, German is an advantage Good know-how in SAP CO (BW/FI/SD/MM is an advantage)  Solid experience with Microsoft Office applications and especially with Excel  Experience in software development projects (as project controller or project manager is an advantage)
