The positionWould you like to actively co-design the advancement of Avaloq and work in a modern and successful company?



The tax team analyses, enhances and maintains functionalities such as Swiss taxes, withholding taxes, German taxes, FATCA, CRS, Ql-Reporting, etc. The internationalisation strategy of Avaloq and regulatory changes in the existing markets are offering interesting challenges, which we solve in close collaboration with clients and Software Partners.



We are looking to hire a Software Engineer to support our tax team in this challenging environment. As a Software Engineer you will work in the business area of tax of the Avaloq Banking system and get to know its functionality from the inside. You will mainly work with database technologies such as SQL and PL/SQL, but also get in touch with object oriented Programming languages such as C# or Java, or with Web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS.



Our job opportunity allows for a unique combination to hone your development skills, but also acquire banking know how on a top level. You work in a small team. You design, implement, maintain and test innovative software solutions to meet the customer's needs.



Your responsibilities

• Main focus will be customization / parameterization of the Avaloq system


• Analyse customer requirements in collaboration with Business Analysts, Software Partners and clients


• Design and implement solutions on a high-quality level


• Improve and optimize existing functionalities


• Analyse and resolve incidents and bugs


• Protect your functionality from regression by implementing suitable automated test cases

Education

• Bachelor and\or Master in Software Engineering or similar IT field
  

Professional requirements

• Experience in Corporate Actions, trading, FX, banking operations expected


• Solid background in software engineering


• Competent in one or more high-level programming languages such as PL/SQL


• Solid understanding of relational databases (including SQL)

Personal requirements

• Excellent analytical skills and systematic approach to problem solving


• Willingness to take over responsibility


• Outspoken character


• Knowledge in the tax area is advantageous


• Fluency in English and German
