We Offer

 

The Chief Data Officer (CDO) department of the International Wealth Management division is providing an interesting opportunity to shape the Data Governance in Switzerland and abroad. The Data Management team is not only responsible for the data strategy and its implementation (including data storage, data quality profiling, etc.), but also for the execution of regulatory projects such as BCBS 239 and local data protection implementation. A close collaboration with multiple partners of other divisions and countries is key to enable, support and provide a holistic data management framework.


Your main responsibilities will involve:



  • Support team head in the coaching of team members

  • Coordinate project managers for data related projects: data storage strategy & implementation, data profiling & measurement, data access & security concepts, cross border data transfer, etc.

  • Lead and support hiring process for the new data managers in the international locations

  • Interface to CDO departments of the Group, different divisions (SUB/GM/IBCM/APAC) and corporate functions (CCO/CRO/CFO/etc.)

  • Coordinate data quality efforts

  • Jointly with IT and business, you devise architectural solutions to data problems

  • Drive the creation of conceptual and logical data models


You Offer

 

  • Proven track record working in a data management or data governance role 

  • You hold a Degree in Computer Science / Management / Economy or equivalent experience

  • Experience in taking care of data related problems in a business environment with multiple dependencies and business partners

  • Good knowledge in conventional data technologies (RDBMS, XML etc.) as well as some familiarity with emerging data technologies (Semantic Web, NoSQL, HDFS etc.) and data warehousing

  • Willingness to work in an international environment with people from various locations in different time zones

  • You enjoy working in a challenging change environment – you are self-starter

  • Result-oriented with focus on timely and accurate delivery

  • Good interpersonal relationship skills – you work collaboratively and listen actively

  • Proficiency in English language (German language skills would be a plus)

  • Deep understanding of data access & security concepts and standards is a plus
