Global IT Corporate Application Manager


 


To manage the architecture, development, maintenance, implementation and evolution of specific Global Applications, such as Advertising and Promotion Platform, Replenishment, Pricing platform tools, etc. and to lead their rollout globally.  


 


Your main responsibilities



  • Analyze, define and architect the Group’s current and future Corporate Application needs and propose alternatives to resolve them

  • Support the Global IT Director in the definition and management of Corporate Application projects

  • Build and deploy all Corporate Applications in a thin-client environment and architecture

  • Management of outsourcers: supervise technical work of external vendors for Global applications

  • Manage and maintain the current Corporate Applications running on .NET technology and on Microsoft SQL databases (2008 upwards – emphasis on SQL 2016)

  • Management of the Corporate Applications IT architecture

  • Manage file interfacing and data integration for the companies in the group through Integration Middleware technology

  • Liaise with Regional and Country IT for compliance with Global IT standards

  • Support the generation of reports on Corporate technologies

  • Ensure understanding and adherence to standard policies and procedures for the IT Community


 


Your profile



  • University degree in Engineering, IT or Computer Science

  • Minimum 10 years of IT experience

  • At least 5  years of project management experience in applications development; 3-tier and object-oriented technologies

  • Deep knowledge of Java - knowledge of Angular an advantage

  • Proven track record in development, debugging and roll-out of multi-layer production systems; MS SQL 2008 and above,  Windows environment - particular 3-tier client / server applications

  • Good knowledge of ERP / Management Information Systems procedures, incl. Marketing Promotions, Retail Price concepts, Logistics, Order Processing “from the order to the shipping”, Invoicing, Procurement, Accounting, Budgeting, Financials and Human Resources

  • Strong knowledge in relational database technologies, report generating tools

  • Internationally-recognized professional certification in project management will be considered an advantage

  • Experience working in multicultural environment 

  • Very process oriented, hands-on and able to handle pressure

  • Highly motivated, flexible and team oriented 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent oral and written skills in English – any other language would be an advantage

  • Willingness to travel worldwide up to 10% of the time

  • Knowledge of general Retail Processes
