As a Cloud Data and DevOps engineer, you will closely collaborate with our top-notch data science team. You will drive the design and implementation of a data lake and the required data pipelines to support the implementation of machine learning and foster the adoption of cloud computing at bigger scale.

In this role, you are ensuring that data is flowing through scalable and secured data pipelines in a hybrid cloud environment including Microsoft Azure, Salesforce.com etc. by using event streaming and processing technologies and considering important topics like GDPR and data privacy.

Your Challenge

• Developing, filling and running a data lake as well as data pipelines


• Collaborating closely with your colleagues within integration services, enterprise platform, IT security and the data science team in identifying, evaluating and solving all challenges around big data


• You will be working on projects that have a big impact for the business - from predictions to recommendations and fully automated systems – from product creation, execution to distribution


• Using latest Microsoft Azure based technologies in the context of finance and Swiss banking

 

Your Qualification

• University degree in computer science, data engineering or comparable work experience


• Excellent data engineering and DevOps skills


• Passion for big data, data processing, data privacy and finance


• Strong programming and engineering skills using Microsoft Azure (e.g. Databricks), Python, Scala, SQL, kafka Stream processing and Docker / Kubernetes


• Good knowledge of CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps etc.) and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)


• Fluent communication skills in English, conversational skills in German
