Senior Research Associate - Immunopharmacodynamics

The Position


We are searching for a Senior Research Associate to join the Immunopharmacodynamics team. The team is part of the Discovery Oncology Pharmacology Department at the Roche Innovation Center Zurich and focuses on multiparametric immune cell characterization of preclinical tumor models to assess efficacy and mechanism of action of cancer immunotherapies in vivo.


In this position you will be responsible to:



  • Process tumor/organs for single cell suspensions following detailed SOPs

  • Develop new panels for flow cytometry using Fortessa/Symphony and/or CyTOF

  • Perform staining’s and acquisition of single cell suspension to characterize the immune cell content and phenotype

  • Independently analyze, report and present results of studies or technical data within internal group meetings

  • Culture and expand human and murine cell lines following detailed SOPs

  • Interact with other research associates and coordinate the logistics of experiments

  • Maintain and ensure safe laboratory environment and work practices

  • Maintain laboratory records and notebook, organize and compile data, and write reports on results

Qualifications:



  • Degree in biological sciences (PhD's will not be considered for this role) and at least 2-5 years of working experience with preference in oncology and immunology

  • Strong experience in multi-parametric flow cytometry-based techniques and immunological assays

  • Sound knowledge of flow cytometry data analysis software’s (Flowjo, Cytobank..)

  • Experience with advanced flow cytometry analysis tools and knowledge of R are a plus

  • Experience with CyTOF is a plus

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • High degree of self-motivation, flexibility and ability to independently conduct experiments

  • Interest in working in a multidisciplinary and multinational environment

  • Good knowledge of English
