Then our exciting new position as Senior Manager Global Technical Services – Broiler could be the right next step for you!

 

DSM Animal Nutrition and Health (ANH) addresses the global feed ingredients markets for poultry, swine, aquaculture, ruminants and pets. For all these segments, DSM is a full and leading value chain player, providing active ingredients, delivery systems and nutritional and premix solutions both globally and at a local level. The Challenge:

 

As Senior Manager Global Technical Service - Broiler, you will drive the technical support for the Broiler species of DSM Animal Nutrition and Health globally. You will provide scientific expertise in collaboration with Marketing, Sales and Innovation teams to develop and implement the species strategy for DSM quality products, vitamins, premixes, feed enzymes and other proprietary nutritional solutions. You are also responsible for managing the technical species knowledge and sharing expertise to the regional Technical Service managers and key accounts. Expected travel is approximately 50%.

 

You will report to the Business Group Vice President of Global Technical Service. This position will preferably be based in Kaiseraugst, near Basel in Switzerland but is potentially also open for other locations.

 

The Position:

 

• Provide technical support to critical accounts (e.g. global strategic key accounts) by identifying customer needs and supporting the evaluation and implementation of DSM products


• Give technical input to develop the Broiler strategy by shaping actions to meet DSM business objectives and assisting in establishing species goals


• Work in partnership with DSM regional technical services to ensure alignment and implementation of Broiler strategies globally


• Generate technical and scientific information to drive sales of DSM quality, vitamins, premixes, enzymes, and other proprietary nutritional solutions


• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends by attending scientific conferences, interacting with key customers and fostering the sharing of information among DSM regional species technical support


• Deliver technical presentations aiming to improve internal and external knowledge of DSM products as well as to further promote DSM branding


• Interface with the Poultry Innovation Team to assist in identifying priorities and developing nutritional products that best fit customer needs and DSM strategy


• Collaborate with DSM global marketing to create science-driven marketing material for promotion of DSM product portfolio

 

The Ideal:

 

• Veterinary degree or PhD in Animal Nutrition or related field


• Experience in working in the field and closely with customers


• Deep technical expertise and basic business understanding are required. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the animal nutrition are required


• Good presentations skills required (e.g. for scientific conferences)


• Ability to excel as part of a diverse and multicultural team. Proven interpersonal and leadership skills. Talent for networking and for building relationships


• Strong strategic mindset


• Flexibility to travel up to 50% globally


• Fluent in English
