bjectives of this role

The Process Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintenance activities of process (production, packaging and laboratory) equipment, at the Couvet Manufacturing site. This role assures compliance of these activities with cGMP as well as with internal policies and procedures. The Process Maintenance Supervisor shall lead the process maintenance team in their activities.

This position shall support the project phase during installing and qualifying new equipment. This position shall then continue to mentor and develop the process maintenance team and manage their day-to-day activities.




Knowledge and skills required



  • 8+ years maintenance experience in the pharmaceutical sector or equivalent. Knowledge of solid dosage, primary packaging and/or secondary packaging equipment advantageous

  • Leadership abilities including demonstrated coaching and training skills

  • Proven ability to problem solve and implement practical solutions to complex mechanical and/or electrical problems

  • Experienced with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, CMMS

  • Familiar with relevant cGMP, maintenance & EHS regulations and best practices

  • Proactive and takes initiative

  • Known for excellent organizational skills

  • Team player: ability to interact effectively with team and “Customer Service” oriented

  • Fluent in French and good knowledge of English (spoken and written)


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities



  • Responsible for the process maintenance team. This includes motivating and developing the team by providing guidance, on-the-job training and identifying development opportunities for team members

  • Responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance on process equipment, this includes production, packaging and laboratory equipment

  • Ensure the efficiency, reliability and quality of process equipment. Maintenance activities shall never negatively impact product quality

  • Develops effective process maintenance KPI’s, and regularly communicates results

  • Propose improvements to maintenance processes

  • Write, review and approve procedures relating to the maintenance of process equipment. Ensure processes remain aligned to corporate policies, regulations, international standards & best practices

  • Manage the day-to-day work of the process maintenance team, including Work Orders and maintenance requests, spare parts and scheduling of maintenance activities

  • Participate in setting up and qualifying new equipment

  • Supports audits; preparing documentation and presenting when needed

  • Works closely with the equipment owner’s department to increase understanding of process maintenance activities

  • Informs key stakeholders prior to and after performing maintenance of process equipment

  • Provide on-call service (Le Piquet)


EHS:



  • Line Managers shall provide a safe and healthy work environment for their staff in areas under their control, and shall ensure compliance with relevant rules and legislation in those areas

  • Work closely with EHS to evaluate hazards and perform risk analysis

  • Ensure that staff (including short duration and temporary contracts) are properly informed on hazards and trained to act in consequence

  • Promote safe practices and behaviors, verify that EHS rules are implemented and respected

  • Report immediately all incidents and near-misses to EHS, participate in investigations and identify preventive measures to prevent similar accidents in the future
