iptiQ EMEA Property & Casualty is a newly built unit within Swiss Re Life Capital, established to deliver digital-native and creative solutions for Property & Casualty (P&C) clients and partners across Europe that engage with consumers in non-traditional ways.


 


About the role


As a Domain/Product Owner, you will have a rare and exciting opportunity to join us: a diverse and motivated team, committed to delivering value and innovative services together with our partners in the primary insurance space. You are responsible to build one of the insurance domains end-to-end to support digital Insurance-as-a-Service-Platform, in an agile and cross-functional environment. Once established, you maintain the roadmap of your domain and ensure continuous service delivery to our B2B clients across the value chain, while driving the next wave of growth across Europe.


 


Your responsibilities include:



  • You own the domain backlog related to our insurance platform, by working with internal and external customers. Align the product roadmap to our strategic goals by analysing the business needs.

  • You are the primary contact for queries related to the domain and act as an ambassador for the domain internally and externally.

  • You engage and work closely with Product Managers, UX designers and Partner Delivery manager to understand business requirements and decompose them into user stories.

  • You work with support team to triage and manage production support bugs

  • You help creating epics, features and user stories and own the evolution of the user story throughout the development

  • You maintain the overview across all outcomes and dependencies, and lead release/sprint plans, and run respective resourcing and budget

  • You are responsible for sprint transparency by using agile project management tools

  • You engage and work closely with Product Managers, UX designers and Partner Delivery manager to understand business requirements and decompose them into user stories.

  • You work with support team to triage and manage production support bugs

About you



  • At least 5-7 years of experience in business & technology primary insurance space and/or respective consulting

  • High levels of organization, detail orientation and results drive, with validated product owner skills and the ability to influence others to deliver toward a common goal

  • Ability to "connect the dots" across functions and topic areas in order to quickly understand key relationships and dependencies

  • Ability to adapt, adjust and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Familiarity with agile methodology and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban

  • Insurance industry experience with know-how across the value chain, and an understanding of the key levers in primary insurance is a requirement

  • Big picture mind, while being able to dive into details and to work on developing solutions when required

  • Clear and effective social skills with senior business leaders and project teams

  • Open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism

  • Strong skills in Insurance core platforms, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, VSTS or Jira or other agile project management tools

  • Good understanding of AWS or cloud native application architecture

  • Deep understanding of Insurance core domains such as Policy/Quote, Policy admin, Claims and Billing etc...
