Intern, HR Systems

Inseriert am: 14.08.2019

Description

People are at the heart of everything we do at IATA, and PPD (People Performance and Development) is the custodian of all our people related activities. From setting the tone for the culture through our policies, to building great employee experience through our recruitment, compensation, learning & development and engagement activities and systems, we want people to be proud to work at IATA.

In this role, you’ll be joining the Systems Team who is working on a really exciting project to implement a new HR system that covers all of our HR Activities. Reporting to the Manager HR Technology, the Intern HR Systems will have the opportunity to join a small, agile team and develop their first professional experience on a wide range of HR systems operations and processes related to the employee life cycle. You will be a critical team member by making sure we deliver HR activities that support our employees and their day to day work at IATA.

Responsibilities

Your role will focus on the following responsibilities:

  1. Systems support and daily operation within the PPD Team: You will provide critical assistance to help our PPD colleagues in using the HR systems to better support their business areas. You will help managing any day to day issues they have with the system or processes including leave, recruitment, learning, performance and compensation.

  2. Reporting & Analytics: Systems are great, but how do you know that you are using them well? By reporting and providing business insights! We report on HR related activities and this data helps the business make better decisions on where we can have an impact. One specific area where we will be looking for your support is the Compensation and Benefits team – as you may imagine they have a lot of reporting to do.

  3. HR Systems Project Work: You will be performing the tasks assigned by the Manager HR Technology, including organizing meetings and taking meeting minutes, performing data-cleaning and various data extracts. We will be asking you to support creating communications and training materials (videos, FAQs.) and maintaining the project intranet site with relevant information on project progression.

Qualifications and Skills

This is a busy role, so you will have to be proactive and happy to roll up your sleeves and work under pressure on several topics where our sometimes tight deadlines require it!

Administratively, we are looking for somebody who has excellent organizational skills and a sharp attention to detail – we are the custodians of our employee data, so you will need to have full integrity in dealing with such important information – anticipating the needs of the team, and tenaciously following up to ‘dot the I’s and cross the t’s!’ You’ll need to use that attention to detail to help with the monitoring, reporting and analytics.

Academically, we need a recent graduate who has excelled in their field and has a master degree in either Systems, Business Admin, HR or a similar field. It goes without saying that you will be proficient in all the office tools and experienced with systems in general.

If you think you will be a good fit and would like to join us for this exciting internship opportunity, we look forward to hearing from you!
