Test and Quality Assurance Engineer (Zurich, Switzerland)

A quality assurance engineer who wants to design and implement test and release procedures and write test scripts for our quadcopter, for its landing platform, and for our remote sensor units. Responsibilities will include the design and implementation of test procedures, the execution of final quality testing of engineering units, and monitoring final assembly testing of small-scale manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Write, execute, and maintain test procedures for the airframe and landing platform for a quadcopter and for remote sensor units


• Define release procedures and control acceptance criteria for embedded software components for our products


• Define quality gates for the engineering change process


• Perform testing on engineering units and software components to ensure that requirements are met


• Maintain the feedback loop with the engineers developing the products and make recommendations to improve the overall quality


• Collaborate with robotics and electrical engineers and assist them in root cause analyses to identify sources of issues


• Design and implement automation testing and execute manual procedures when necessary


• Develop and execute ad-hoc and exploratory testing as needed


• Participate in the development of engineering processes and perform process audits

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with unit testing and quality assurance of embedded products


• Experience in test planning, test design, and writing test scripts and test instructions


• Strong knowledge of modern quality assurance standards and methodologies


• Knowledge of CI/CD systems


• Good oral and written skills in English


• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently


• Must be flexible and be able to work in a multicultural environment


• Experience in quality assurance for consumer products


• Minimum B.S. in related engineering field


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance and test engineering


• Willing to work full-time in Zurich at our R&D lab


• Work permit in Switzerland required
