ABOUT THE JOB
As the store visual merchandiser/co worker specialist you share your extensive knowledge of people’s life at home and high level of home furnishing competence with your team. Together you present and communicate the IKEA offer in ways that make it attractive and relevant to your local market. You also support customer self-choice in the IKEA store and the IKEA mechanical sales system. This is a challenging role in a fast-moving retail environment.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT
 

• contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.


• providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people’s life at home.


• demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and display techniques in different store media and activity areas to distance us from the competition.


• working with vitality to motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently.


• securing the use of the store layout as a commercial tool to plan and implement commercial strategies throughout the store while creating a good overview and strong visual impact.


• working together with other store functions to build a unique meeting with the customers.
   

YOUR PROFILE

 

• a higher education qualification in visual merchandising or industrial design and a solid background of working as a visual merchandiser.


• a deep passion, curiosity and understanding for home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home.


• acting as an inspiring and motivating person who can engage people fully to reach set goals, and generate growth and long-term profitability.


• continually seeking new opportunities to make improvements in the way we work and encouraging others to do the same.


• challenging  yourself in order to strengthen the IKEA Brand and at the same time exceed the expectations of customers.


• your english is fluent and on the top you speak one more Swiss languages (German or Italian or French).


• you will work on shifts and on saturdays, sundays openings and bridge days.


• you will travel accross St. Gallen Market.


• you are willing to be most of the time on the sales floor rather than in the office.


• you have the knowledge and capabilities to develop as visual merchandising manager successor

The start date will be 01.09.2019
