Role Purpose: 

Education of EW field team and HCP with a focus on device handling and procedure conduct are becoming increasingly important to ensure optimal patient outcomes, avoid procedural complications and support differentiation of EW technology platforms vs. competition. Furthermore, extended educational service offerings, such as e.g. centers of excellence, educational grants, advanced patient screening via imaging or on-/off-site simulator trainings are crucial to support the above mentioned objectives. Alongside enhanced training offerings to HCPs, upskilling of the clinical field team as key experts in education is becoming crucial to keep up with the evolving field of technology and to ensure up-to-date standards in education within the EW clinical team. This position will create and coordinate/training materials/training sessions and monitor outcomes in collaboration with the field clinical teams across the region. Furthermore, this position will serve as the regional key stakeholder for the global ProfEd team with regards to review and deployment of training materials. 




Major Job Functions:  

  • EW field team and HCP Training

  • Develop, review and implementation of training SOPsand materials

  • Develop/deliver content/set up procedures for internal training + Manage EW field team training

  • Development of educational on-site and off-site HCP training modules “focused on procedure/device and TMTT patient management”

  • Manage hospital based Edwards-initiated training activities and HCP educational partnerships (COE, Proctors/Crimp proctors, CoreLabs)

  • Support content and review of educational grants

  • Support of field deployment of educational tools and technologies (simulators, software, other)

  • Implant support and extended center-based support on request

Qualifications

 
Required Education/Skills/Experience:  

  • Technical expertise in medical device technology

  • Therapeutic area knowledge in structural heart disease

  • Biomedical professional background (engineering, PhD, MD, nursing)

  • Training skills

  • Conceptual thinking & creativity

  • People Management Skills

  • Analytical/synthetical/didactical approach 

  • Cross-functional 

  • Customer-focus

  • Compliance orientation

  • Communication/negotiation skills

  • Excellent english/software skills (Office, others)
