The goal of the central Digital team is to take the software-led differentiation of our offerings to the next level through a digital transformation and cement ABB’s pioneering technology leadership, building on our more than 40 years’ history in embedded, control and applications software. Together with Microsoft we are building an integrated digital platform – from device to system to cloud. Today we have more than 210 ABB AbilityTM solutions that help the customers we serve in utilities, industry and transport & infrastructure with uptime of their operations, increased speed and higher yield. This program gives you a series of demanding, cross-functional, and international assignments. After successful completion of the program, you will be offered a permanent position in one of our local units.

Your responsibilities

• With a combination of on-the-job training, formal learning and mentoring, you will build your skills and experience, gaining insight into key aspects of the projects led by our business and platform enablement teams. From the beginning, you will contribute to the planning of your own program based on your individual interests and development requirements.


• There are three assignments:


• - One six-month assignment in Switzerland (Baden and Oerlikon) as an introduction to the Digital function and business


• - One six-month assignment in the USA, with the Silicon Valley as a possible location


• - One six-to-twelve-month assignment either in one of our main hubs (Poland, India or Finland) or in one of the Business Lines

Your background

• Recent graduate (Master of Science or equivalent) with good grades and a business or STEM degree, ideally a combination of both


• Not more than 1.5 years of professional work experience (excluding internships) since your master's (or equivalent degree)


• Excellent language skills: Fluency in English is required, other languages are a plus


• Possibility to start the program on October 1st or November 1st 2019 at the latest
