Are you passionate in procurement in general and in managing our procurement policies to optimize the business value to UBS in particular? Are you driven by the desire to simplify practices, crush complexity and help mitigate risk to protect UBS?


We are looking for someone like you who can:



  • Develop and implement procurement specific policies and guidelines


  • Enable capturing incremental commercial value while ensuring risk management and regulatory compliance, specifically in the banking/financial services industry


  • Understand our procurement processes, commercial procurement strategy and risk strategy and translate it into effective policies, guidelines and rules


  • Describe the policy guidelines and rules in a simple and easy to understand manner


  • Communicate policies and guidelines in an effective, clear and concise manner to end users utilizing digital channels


  • Define and manage policy control frameworks ensuring policy adherence and compliance


  • Advise, draft and evaluate Key Procedural Controls (KPCs) and carry out periodic internal related reviews


  • Collaborate with various stakeholders within the Supply Chain function and other key stakeholders to develop and align policy updates



Your team:


You’ll be working in Group Corporate Services (GCS) – a Group COO function within Corporate Center created to support UBS with its third party vendor sourcing strategies as well as to manage all UBS premises and the services provided by our near- and offshore delivery centers. The Supply Chain function is embedded within GCS and mainly responsible for providing four services: Category Management, Supplier Management, Commercial Support and Transformation (CST) and Regional Procurement Support. Within CST the Processes, Policies and Transformation team (PPT) manages the UBS Procurement Policies. You will be reporting to the Head of PPT.


Your expertise:


You have:



  • University degree in Business Administration or Legal with relevant Audit and Risk Management qualifications


  • 8+ years of professional experience in procurement functions


  • 3 to 5 years of substantial and relevant Policy, Risk and/or Audit experience


  • Excellent communication and presentation skills


  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements, control frameworks and risk analysis, specifically in the banking industry

  • Excellent in oral and written communication skills in English, German and other languages are an advantage


  • Truly customer and solution oriented and a strong team player, able to engage team members and stakeholders


  • Willing to assume responsibility and work in an international environment


  • Well organized, flexible


  • Result oriented and innovative
