For our Global IT organisation, we are currently looking for:


Functional IT Project Managers (M/F)


Based in the Vevey region of Switzerland, in an innovative and dynamic environment, you will be r esponsible for the management of a portfolio of IS/IT projects, from scoping to planning and execution.


 


The projects will include:



  • Support to new business programs with large IS/IT components

  • News IS solutions selection and implementation

  • Existing applications life cycle management:

    • Geographical expansion

    • New business processes coverage

    • Architectural improvements (Local/SAAS/Cloud)

    • Functional enhancements


  • Responsible for the administration, support & continuous improvement of a portfolio of applications.


 


Activities and responsibilities :



  • Responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of IS/IT projects: Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables;

  • Define project tasks and resource requirements;

  • Develop full scale project plans;

  • Assemble and coordinate project staff;

  • Manage project budget;

  • Manage project resource allocation;

  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools;

  • Manage project risks and issues;

  • Perform project reviews;

  • Provide direction and support to project team;

  • Present project status reports;

  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs;

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to project team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion;

  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team;

  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path;

  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans;

  • Ensure the validation of GxP systems is executed in coherence with the project plan.

  • Ongoing cooperation with business stakeholders, sponsors and other IS/IT departments, in order to ensure that are considered at all times and appropriately managed:

    • Dependencies between projects,

    • Dependencies with operational activities,

    • Resource sharing and constraints,


  • Provide leadership in steering projects toward defined best practices.

  • Interact with and regularly report to executive project sponsors and IS/IT management

  • Support (at level 2) and ensure continuous improvement of a portfolio of applications and life cycle roadmaps definition:

    • Resolve incidents and deliver service requests escalated to level 2. Escalate to level 3 when required.

    • Manage the request for changes: Prepare, chair and deliver minutes of CAB meetings (Change Advisory Board). Implement changes according to documented procedures.

    • Deliver regular ‘train the trainer’ sessions to ensure the key users can continue to support the end-users.

    • Propose applications life cycle roadmaps in order to prevent any component to fall out of support or to improve the coverage of business needs.

    • Specify, build, deploy and maintain the required interfaces with other applications.

    • Assist and train the functional and technical administrators.

    • Ensure the technical teams get the knowledge, documentation and training to install, administrate, monitor and operate the technical platforms supporting the applications.


  • Contribute to technology watch to support business processes. 


Expected qualifications :



  • Master degree or equivalent with a specialization in IT or information system. PMP Certification is a plus.

  • A 5-year professional experience in managing complex IT projects. Experience of working in Pharma industry (GxP) or another regulated industry. Experience of working in global organizations with virtual teams.

  • Strong understanding of the covered business domain

  • Good understanding of application components and translation into functional and technical  requirements

  • Strong project management and planning skills including experience in successfully managing major projects with use of and adherence to structured methodology;

  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities;

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment;

  • Ability to work in a matrix organisation

  • Strong interpersonal skills, is persuasive, encouraging, and motivating:

  • Very good communicator with the ability to work in a complex multicultural environment;

  • Strong understanding of the covered business domain (Product Development, Formulation, Preclinical, Regulatory)

  • Fluent in English, French a plus;

  • Knowledge of agile project management methodology a plus.
