Your role:
Are you interested to work in a large and modern IBM mainframe environment in the area of batch middleware? Do you have a curious nature, always interested in how to innovate? We're looking for someone like this, in order to:
• Maintain and enhance existing batch tool which are written in COBOL or REXX
• Cooperates with clients to support or resolve issues
• Test and integrate changes and new code
• Design and realization of requirements
• Manage or collaboration in various projects
Your team:
In addition to the IWS scheduler, UBS has many in-house developments in the batch area like File-Registrator, Mars, EBU-Rel, BEPS, BPOS, etc.. The team is responsible for their stability and further development. In this function the team has plenty of opportunities to collaborate with many other UBS departments.
Your expertise:
• knowledge in CICS, MQ, VSAM, DB2, JCL
• experience in the Cobol and REXX programming languages
• practice with Mainframe tools like TSO/ISPF
• know-how in testing utilities and processes
• communication skills; ability to make presentation to both technical and non-technical audiences
• experience in Microsoft Office applications and Windows scripting
• English language skills, both in speaking and writing (German not mandatory but welcome)
• experience with software development processes
• strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills
