Job Description Summary


To support our Lonza engineering department, in VISP, we are looking for an exceptional Project Engineer - Utility Lead


Role Purpose:


Technical responsibility for the USP or DSP part of the Flying Fox project through all the phases of the project until successful delivery of an operating facility. Member of the Capex Core Team.


The order of magnitude for USP and DSP are 50 Mio. CHF investment cost each. Very close collaboration with the EPCMV company and the other members of the Lonza team, such as the capex team members, MSAT, Operations, Project Safety and QA. Main interface to the EPCMV company regarding USP or DSP. Transfer of knowledge, information and documents from Portsmouth to the Visp project. Ensuring that design principles from Portsmouth are being followed. Signing off documents created by the EPCMV contractor


Responsibilities:



  • Being part of P&ID, URS etc. creation and development

  • Making sure that our standards and requirements are correctly reflected

  • Collaboration with all parties involved for tasks such as equipment specification, tendering, expediting, FATs, SATs, commissioning, qualification and start up

  • Tasks vary depending on project phase

  • Meetings: Organize, lead, participate


Qualifications & Skills required:



  • Masters or Bachelors degree in Process-, Chemical–, Mechanical- or Bio Engineering and/or equivalent knowledge

  • In depth knowledge in the area of utilities for pharma and biopharma, project engineering from design to start-up

  • Technical expertise in mammalian processes is a must!

  • Fluency in English and German

  • High energy levels with a passion for what you do

  • Organized and structured, good attention to details

  • Strong managing skills in matrix organizations

  • Ability to adapt to project situations at full speed and solution oriented decision taking

  • Demonstrates strong leadership -, communication -, and interpersonal skills particularly in stressful situations
