About Provenance Proof

The Provenance Proof initiative has been established by the Gübelin Gem Lab, an in­dependent division of the House of Gübelin. The Provenance Proof initiative is the um­brella brand of a bundle of technologies with the combined aim to bring transparency into the entire value chain of gemstones. These cutting-edge technologies include physical tracers (e.g. Emerald Paternity Test) and digital tracking solutions (Provenance Proof Blockchain). All developed solutions and services are made available to the whole industry. Provenance Proof is an entity separate of the Gübelin Gem Lab, to grant the required Independence.




To create global awareness of the different Provenance Proof technologies, and to facilitate the successful roll-out and application along global supply chains from the mine to the end consumer, we are looking for a


Head of Sales and Marketing

Your tasks:

Establish growth strategy and marketing plan for the different technologies

Create awareness on Provenance Proof services among different client segments (e.g. dealers, wholesale, jewelers, retailers) and all along the value chain, from mine to the end consumer

Market and sell Provenance Proof services to the different client segments

Maintain and develop ongoing client relationships

Identify needs for adjustments and extensions of Provenance Proof services

Ensure compliance with local, national and international rules and regulations

Identify risks and opportunities, and foster mitigation measures, corrective actions and follow-up activities


Your profile:

BSc or MSc in Business Administration

Proven track record of successful, target-based sales position (B2B)

Strong sales attitude

Tech-savvy

Gemmological training is an advantage

Strong knowledge and intimate experience of the gemstone trade or jewellery industry

Capable communicator to heterogeneous stakeholders, including miners, dealers, brands, regulators, scientists, governments, NGOs.

Independent and self-motivated

Extensive traveling required

High level of loyalty and honesty
