To support our HR & Services IT Division, FIFA is looking to recruit aproactive and highly organizedperson with the ability to work in a cross-divisional team as an:
Event IT Project Manager
Your duties


  • Leading projects to deliver IT services at FIFA Events, covering project management, stakeholder management, IT service delivery, operational management and budget control

  • Managing Event IT staff, as well as staff from other FIFA IT areas, and providers from outside FIFA to ensure delivery of above mentioned IT services

  • Contribute to execute FIFA IT’s strategy and roadmap for Tournaments and Events, ensuring their continuous alignment with business requirements

  • Overseeing the effective and efficient provision of IT services for FIFA Tournaments and Events at selected FIFA Events

  • Being responsible for managing IT preparations, implementation and operations in the selected host country

  • Support in the overall Event IT Program management

  • Acting as contract manager for local contracts with selected IT suppliers

  • Coordinating the procurement process for IT related contracts in the host country

  • Working closely with the logistics team to ensure shipment to and distribution of IT assets within the host country are in line with the start of the IT installation process

Our requirements


  • University degree, or equivalent education, in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field

  • Minimum fifteen years overall IT experience and minimum eight years of progressive experience in IT network and infrastructure delivery or IT program/project management, preferably in sports event management

  • A minimum of four years of planning and operational experience in major Sport Events

  • Proven track record of successful delivery of complex IT programs and projects

  • Minimum five years of experience in leading multi-cultural teams of significant size (+ twenty resources)

  • Professional certifications in the area of project management (eg PMP, Prince2, etc)

  • Good knowledge of English, ideally business fluency in one of the other three FIFA languages (French or Spanish or German, the latter being an advantage)

  • Ability to work under pressure and endurance

  • Excellent planning, documentation and organizational skills

  • Stress resilient, ability to work independently and use logical sound judgement

  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines

  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • Willingness to travel globally (50%) with some trips of 30 days or more duration

  • Identification with FIFA
