Winterthur Gas & Diesel Ltd. is looking for a


Engineer (Engine Control Software Developer)


Responsibilities



  • Responsible for engine control software development and maintenance

  • Work in according to the software development process that includes:

    • Requirements breakdown

    • Software design

    • Model based software development of engine control algorithms and logic

    • Model based software testing

    • Software package preparation

    • Software integration test on test rig (Hardware-in-the-loop)

    • Engine test bed and/or field testing

    • Documentation for each development steps


  • Insure software quality and maintainability

  • Communicate with engine experts of other disciplines in R&D organization


Requirements



  • MSc or Dipl.-Ing. electrical/mechanical/automation engineering, or equivalent

  • Proven experience (preferably 3-5 years) in

    • Software development

    • Matlab/Simulink

    • Complex automation and control systems


  • Knowledge of communication systems and protocols

  • Comprehension of mechanical, hydraulic and thermodynamic systems

  • Good analytic approach and problem solving oriented

  • Good communication and people interaction skills, including presentation, group discussions and teamwork

  • Pragmatic, flexible and continuous improvement attitude

  • Basics in project management

  • Ready to travel for (field) testing and commissioning support up to 6 weeks per year

  • Able to work in multicultural environment

  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)
