HR Officer (80%-100%)

For our Human Resources team, we are seeking a temporary


HR Officer at 80%-100%


(from 1 September 2019 for a duration of 2-3 months)


Working in a team of 3 people, you will actively support the HR day-to-day operations, undertaking a wide range of HR administrative duties related to a population of approx. 100 Auxiliary staff (language tutors, private music teachers, cover teachers, after-school activities coaches, interns, etc.).


Main responsibilities:



  • Be the first point of contact for the assigned population; provide advice to employees in relation to their employment; respond to HR related inquiries or requests, and provide assistance.

  • Prepare and issue employment agreements, amendments and various employee correspondence.

  • Maintain and update employee records (personnel files and database); ensure all employment requirements are met (work permit requests and renewals, criminal records, etc.).

  • Support the recruitment process by posting job ads, organizing resumes and job applications, scheduling job interviews, responding to applicants.

  • Manage and follow-up child allowances and maternity leaves for all ISL staff.

  • Manage the timesheets and leave of absence forms for all Administrative & Support staff (approx. 35 people).

  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (new hires, departures, amendments, etc.).

  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects and various administrative tasks.


Qualifications and Qualities desired:



  • Fluency in English (C1) and French

  • Diploma of Certificat d’assistant(e) en gestion du personnel

  • A proven HR administrative experience of min 3 years within an international environment

  • Good knowledge of Swiss labour law

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to work independently

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Adaptability, flexibility and dynamism


This position is open for men and women. Due to work permit limitations, preference will be given to candidates having a Swiss/EU citizenship or holding a Swiss work permit.
