The AO Foundation is a medically guided, not-for-profit organization led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Founded in 1958 by a group of visionary surgeons, today, the AO has a global network of 200,000 health care professionals. Each year it offers over 830 educational events around the world, which are supported by nearly 9,000 faculty and are attended by over 58,000 participants. It has 20,000 surgeon members working in the fields of trauma, spine, craniomaxillofacial (CMF), veterinary, and reconstructive surgery.

The AO Education Institute supports the AO Foundation and its Clinical Divisions to further develop and to transform medical education for our communities. The Faculty Development team develops competency-based faculty training programs which offer a broad range of learning opportunities to support AO faculty members in achieving their educational goals.


We are looking for a highly motivated student to support our education team in Dübendorf, Switzerland.

In this role you will be required to



  • Research independently, think proactively, propose ideas, prepare data to be presented

  • Process data, including collection, coding, categorization, calculation, and analysis or controlling

  • Preparation and analysis of existing data (using tools such as Qualtrics, Stata and REDcap)

  • Support with data interpretation and appropriate graphical representation

  • Other administrative tasks, such as maintaining data, etc.


In order to master this challenge, you have:



  • University student with major or minor in statistics

  • Experience with various statistics tools

  • Working accurately and efficiently with MS-Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Structured precise working style and an analytical mind

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English

  • Reliable team player who can be very independent

  • Experience or passionate about research in general

  • Experience and/or passion working on creating opportunities to increase diversity and opportunity for women and underrepresented minorities
