Mechatronics Engineer

Our client, a start-up based in the region of Bienne, is looking for a Mechatronics Engineer. 

You will be in charge of the following tasks :

• Participate to the development of the technology with polyvalent but strong engineering skills (mechatronics)


• Building prototypes, participate to field tests for technology and user-experience validation


• Design testing protocols, conduct experiments, and write reports for key-decision making 


• Support the projects teams for pre-industrialization activities 


• Towards project leading in a customer / partner perspective 


• Further activities to be defined with the evolution of the company

Requirements :

• Master / Dipl. Ing. FH/ETH/EPF or equivalent


• Solid engineering competences, especially in "hands-on" mechatronics and / or hydraulics 


• Previous experience with product development, prototyping and preferably in industrialization-ready in a corporate context 


• Substantial understanding of product-fit in regard of users expectations and standards of conformity and regulations 


• Practical experience with professional mechanical and electrical software (SolidWords, Eagle or equivalent)


• Interest and experience with programming is an asset 


• Excellent written and spoken English skills (French skills is highly valuable)


• Readiness to travel to customer / supplier locations for on-site installation and meetings 


• Good communication skills, strong self-management and teamwork abilities
