Business Controller Zurich (100%)

As a strategic finance business partner, you will play a critical role in our Randstad's sales and operations organization, if you meet the following expectations:

• You understand the services industry and the macroeconomic factors affecting it


• You act as a key stakeholder and influencer when defining strategic goals and planning for the future


• You partner with Director Level and Senior Management to ensure the future success of the organization


• You behave as an active member of the middle management team providing analysis and insight for strategy and decision-making


• You work autonomously when it comes to operational and financial control, overseeing budgets and analysis for the business line


• You are passionate about numbers and strive for impact on senior management level

Key responsibilities

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Responsibility for the budgeting process for the business line. Manage and coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closings of the entity and its subsidiaries incl. reporting process to group controlling and other stakeholders


• Financial reporting: Responsible for part of the management and financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, supporting the statutory close and external audit, owning forecasting, variance analysis, and tracking of industry trends


• Data Analytics: Monitor operational KPI's, strategic initiatives and the financial performance of the business line. Provide financial and operational analysis and recommendations to the management. Support the development of strategies for new and existing technologies to achieve efficiencies and productivity


• Own Initiatives & Innovation: Seek new ways of further developing an industry-leading organization where entrepreneurial spirit and ownership are our lifeblood


• Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with client's procedure

Qualifikation

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant business control, financial planning, and forecasting experience, big 4 experience a strong plus


• University Degree or equivalent in Economics or Finance


• Some experience in Controlling


• Experience in commercial reporting & analysis


• Excellent analytical- and conceptual skills as well as high focus on the quality of deliverables


• Strong presentation skills


• Highly conscientious approach and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing and ambiguous environmentSelf-motivated, demonstrating drive, enthusiasm, and determination


• Fluent command of English and German; French language skills would be an asset
