And we need you to join our Marketing and Product Management team for the Life Science Business at Männedorf, Zurich as

Application Specialist - Mass Spectrometry 80-100%

What you will do

This role is an ideal entry position to build hands-on expertise in Application and Product Management related to Mass Spectrometry and start your career in Life Science & Diagnostic industry. In this role you provide support to different functions in the entire organization and drive various projects such as new product ideas, application and product development, marketing campaigns, pricing, sales and margin analysis and support and drive the creation of marketing collateral and application content.

Responsibilities will include

• Develop automated MS sample preparation workflows, application content and sales collateral


• Support at driving the LC-MS strategy and achieve goals on time as per the strategy plan


• Support the establishment of global marketing plan and its execution


• Analyze workflows and develop concepts with R&D and conduct feasibility experiments


• Actively support sales initiatives and client visits providing technical and scientific support.


• Drive and support voice of customer analysis


• Monitor competition and support in pricing analysis


• Drive product management projects


• Explore new business ideas and build business cases (incl. NPV, project plans)


• Manage day to day activities such as sales support globally

What you bring along

• Master degree or post graduate certification in Life Science (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry preferred)


• Work experience (of max. 4 years) in a life science research or diagnostics laboratory (e.g. as part of Master thesis) is a plus


• Knowledge of mass spectrometry, sample preparation workflows and LCMS Software packages is required


• Experience with laboratory automation is a strong plus


• Internships in renowned companies as well as international experience is a plus


• Fluency in English is required. Any other languages (especially German) would be a plus


• Ability and experience to effectively interact with executives, senior leaders and with customers, strong communicator and team player


• “Hands-on” mentality, with experience across global regions and under pressure


• Willingness to travel (to visit customers & suppliers and for trade fairs & congresses, about 10%– 20%)
