Software Architect & Coordinator

We develop software for our innovative high-quality lab instruments. Our code is running on instruments, PCs, mobiles and on the cloud. Our highly skilled and motivated team in our headquarters is intensively collaborating with our international sites and partners (near- and offshore). In this setup we are looking for you as a new team member who develops in the first project phase consistent software concepts, in close collaboration with our colleagues from the business units and other R & D disciplines. In the implementation phase you take over the coordination lead in our global development team and with our internal customers. You drive the software development towards the market launch. Working place is Flawil SG / Switzerland.


In this role you have the following tasks:



  • Define SW architectures and main concepts for new platforms and products

  • Support requirements engineering and define specifications

  • Conceptual support in design / implementation phase

  • Coordinate projects with globally distributed development team and internal stakeholders

  • Apply defined development process, platforms/frameworks and tools


Your skills and background are:



  • Bachelor or Master degree preferable; in engineering, computer science or similar

  • Excellent skills in software architecture design in a technical environment (preferably instruments) and/or app & cloud, implementation experience with Microsoft .NET C#, Xamarin, AWS and agile software methods

  • Very strong in coordination, communication and methodologies

  • Highly proactive, self-dependent and communicative

  • Very good English skills, written and spoken

  • Readiness for trips abroad (up to 10%)

  • Emphasized willingness to take over responsibility, entrepreneurial thinking
