Job Description




As a Product Manager with background in application engineering or electronic systems design and member of the Product Strategy team for our Product Center “Positioning”, you will be responsible for merging market requirements, technology trends, internal innovations and R&D capabilities to derive product requirements.
 
You will define product strategy, making sure it is in line with corporate strategy and ensuring the product portfolio matches the needs in the targeted market segments. You will drive the extension of the current High Precision Positioning portfolio  representing a new and exciting area of u-blox’ business. You will strongly support the worldwide sales organization in winning business, align regularly with other Product Strategy team members and work closely together with our R&D teams based in Finland, Switzerland and UK.

This role can be located in our office in Thalwil (Zurich), Switzerland or in our office in Espoo, Finland. The role requires up to 20% travel time.
 
Your responsibilities

  • Define and manage product requirements, based on marketing inputs, timelines and resources

  • Be the product expert and support Sales and Business Development in technical discussions and internal trainings

  • Maintain contact with key customers for product promotion and seek feedback on products, as well as future customer requirements.

  • Responsible for product marketing activities and definition of the go-to market plan, including going to conferences, presenting in customer facing webinars and defining support tools (e.g. evaluation kits, reference designs, demonstrators)

  • Define and manage competition analysis process for the high precision landscape delivering internal requirements and external fighting guides for u-blox sales

Your skills and experience

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Telecommunications

  • At least 2 years of experience in application engineering, technical marketing, product marketing or product management for electronic systems or GNSS receivers

  • Experience in RTK/PPP technologies or satellite communication based technologies would be an asset

  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills

  • Self-motivated and well-organized personality

  • Team player with demonstrated ability to work in cross-cultural, cross-geographical, multi-disciplinary teams

  • Excellent communicator to varied technical audiences in both written and presentation form

  • Proficient in English, skill in other languages are an advantage
